Jaggie's Mystery Quilt Part #6

Make 48 four patch units using two half-square triangles and a 3" X 3" square of background fabric and focus fabric.

I had to use Michelle's fabric as this week's example because I am spending the weekend with her and her toddler while Veronica is out of town.

Jaggie's Mystery Quilt part #5

Here we go with Step #5.  This one is really easy, you'll have it done lickity split fast.  I know all of you have all of their flying geese done, so here we go.  Take your Step #3 units and sew your Step #4 units to them.  If your looking at your goose and he looks like he's flying up, you need to have your Step # 3 at the bottom and add Step #4 unit to the top of that one.  This will look lie you're building a Chevron.  I'm sorry, but I can't add the picture right now, no one is here to help me.  I'm just a bear after all.  Don't worry though, I'll get some pictures on later today.

Here we go with part #4.  It's really very easy, all you have to do is grab your 3" x 5 1/2" medium rectangles and your 3" x 3" accent #1 squares and make 48 more flying geese.  Have fun, see you next week with step #5.

Jaggie's Mystery Quilt Step #3

Jaggie, here.  I'm sneaking in a bit early with step #3.  It's supposed to be posted tomorrow, but I thought, what the heck, Veronica is busy at the show, she'll never know.  So, shhhhhhhhhh, don't tell...

Step #3 is easy.  Using your 3" x 5 1/2" rectangles (background) fabric and your 3" x 3" medium squares make 48 flying geese.  I like the way Janet Wickell makes hers, so here is a picture from Quilting.About.com.

Jaggie's Mystery Step #2

Good morning, Jaggie here.  I've got step #2 ready to go.  It's not hard at all.

You will need to make 96 half square triangles using the background fabric and accent #2.  They should finish at 2 1/2".

There are many different ways to make them, so just use your favorite method, I'm using the "paper method" that Brenda Henning uses from her Triangulations 2.0 or 3.0.

Remember, you have until midnight tonight, Saturday April 20th to send us your pictures of your cut fabric from Step #1 for this drawing.  Send pictures to our facebook page, you can click on the tab at the top of our blog page to get there.
